Year 9 Cricket Vs Hamstead Hall School

After narrowly losing out to Holte School last week, the Year 9 team were back to winning ways with a fine performance over Hamstead Hall. GDIS were put in to bat and soon found themselves three wickets down in the early stages. Then Sukhjit Singh and Raheem Ali entered the crease and both displayed a fine batting display by putting on a partnership of 59 runs. GDIS, after 20 overs, finished on 126 runs (their highest score yet). Hamstead Hall then had the opportunity to show our bowlers what they could do with the bat, and during the early stages they were looking a strong batting side. Then after a few quick wickets, the GDIS bowlers found their range and Hamstead Hall finished on 87 all out.
