Year 7 Football festival result

Birmingham Schools Kick Racism Out Of Football Festival

Mr Brookes and Miss Beckford took nine year 7 boys to a football festival organised by Birmingham County F.A..  With only a handful of coaches turning up for morning training, Odane Campbell stepped in and took the session for the boys. They were a great credit to themselves and the school, with their behaviour and willingness to listen and learn.

At lunchtime a film crew from Central News arrived, and the boys were featured doing some tricks.  The festival got serious with the commencement of the afternoon tournament, the winners of each of two groups playing in a final match to decide the overall champions. One of our teams narrowly missed out on the final but the other team made it through after beating a very talented Handsworth Grammar team, to top their table. In a hard fought match our team narowly lost 1 - 0 to Ninestiles School. Congratulations to all involved.
